SplitSol (“we”, “us”) helps you track shared expenses. We collect only what the product needs, we don’t run ads, and we never sell your data.
What we collect
- Account details. Email, display name and profile photo, used to create your account and show who’s who in shared groups.
- Expense records. Groups, expenses, amounts, currencies and settlements. This is the product.
- Contact hashes. Salted hashes of emails or phone numbers you search for, with your consent, so friends can find each other. We never store your raw contact list.
- Device & diagnostics. Push notification tokens and crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics), used to deliver notifications and fix bugs.
We do not collect payment or banking data (SplitSol never moves money), advertising identifiers, or third-party analytics profiles.
How data is shared
Your expense data is visible to the people you share it with: group members and friends. Beyond that, data is processed only by our service providers: Google Firebase (authentication, database, storage, notifications, crash reporting) and Resend (transactional email). We never sell or rent personal data.
Deletion and your rights
You can delete your account from inside the app at any time: Profile → Privacy & Security → Delete account. For access to, export of, or deletion of specific data without closing your account, email support@splitsol.co from your account email. On deletion we remove your personal data; expenses shared with others are anonymised so their balances stay correct. If you are in the EEA/UK, you also have GDPR rights to correct or restrict processing and to complain to your data protection authority.
Children
SplitSol is not for children under 13. If a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
