Is SplitSol free?
Yes. SplitSol is free while we are in early access. If that ever changes, existing users will be told well in advance, and your data will always be exportable.
Does SplitSol move my money?
No. SplitSol is a ledger, not a wallet. It tracks who owes whom; you settle in cash, bank transfer, or however you like, then record it. That means no bank credentials and no payment card details in the app.
How does multi-currency work?
Each group has its own currency, and your balances are kept per currency. ₨ stays ₨ and $ stays $. We never merge them with made-up exchange rates.
How do you find my friends?
Only with your consent, and only using salted hashes of contact details. We never upload or store your raw contact list on our servers.
Can I delete my account and data?
Yes. Account deletion removes your personal data; shared expenses in groups are anonymised so your friends’ balances stay correct. See our Privacy Policy for the details.
Which platforms are supported?
SplitSol is launching on Android and iOS. A web app is on the roadmap.
